Alana and Alyssa
Alana De La Garza is an exquisite actress who has been leaving an imprint on the tiny screen. In 1976 De La Garza was born to a Mexican American father and an Irish-American mother in Columbus Ohio. De La Garza moved soon to Texas and studied in physical therapy at the University of Texas. De La Garza didn't last long in Texas before moving in Orlando Florida where she experienced a variety of acting roles such as local independent films and international commercials. Despite small roles, she discovered her passion in acting. After moving into New York, in 2001 she got her first role as an actor in the show All My Children. There were minor roles in JAG: Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men in the early 2000s. In 2004 she was cast in her debut series role on The Mountain The Mountain, the short-lived drama on television. She played Maria Serrano and De La Garza had the privilege to be a part of a cast that included some of the best TV actors such as Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. Her most famous role was Law & Order, where she played A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. The actress was on the show for 85 episodes. Her character on the Law & Order: LA spinoff was a short-lived. De La Garza was nominated for several Awards, including the Best Supporting Actress for TV by Imagen Foundation Awards as well as several ALMA Award nominations. In 2008, De La Garza was awarded the Impact Award at National Hispanic Media Coalition's Outstanding Performance Award in a Dramatic Television Series. De La Garza got a regular role on CSI Miami a few moments further. She played Marisol Deko as the husband of the actor David Caruso's Horatio. She played Dr. Lena Solis in NBC's dark drama Do No Harm. The series was cancelled after just two episodes. Alyssa Milano.............................Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on December 19 1972 in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn New York City to fashion designer and talent manager Lin Milano and film-music editor Thomas M. Milano. The actress is from Italian heritage and also has a younger brother Cory who is 10 years her junior. Her family was strict and religious parents. Milano launched her acting career at the age of seven when her babysitter joined her for an audition. Four girls were selected from over 1000 aspirants. Milano appeared in commercials for television and on off-Broadway plays, among them the first American musical rendition to Jane Eyre.
